Help Kids Up Uganda

In December 2012, I felt a strong conviction from the Holy Spirit to prepare a Christmas party for the street children in Kampala.  My wife and I set up a team and organized a party according to the plans of God.  We fed approximately 750 street children in the dangerous slums of Kampala, Uganda.  We saw God’s love move on the kids whose ages ranged from 3 to 22 years.  As we returned home, God impressed upon us the need to do more than just a Christmas party. 
We accepted the challenge and Help Kids Up Uganda Ministry was birthed.Help Kids Up Uganda is a ministry under Separated Unto Jesus  Ministries. It is a frontline ministry dedicated to helping meet the physical and spiritual needs of street children and orphans. 
Our goal is to touch these children with the love of God, in word and actions. By focusing mainly on street kids and orphans we know that we can have an impact on a whole neighborhood. We strengthen and restore families whenever possible. 
Our mission is to continue Jesus’ mission as stated in Luke 4:18:  To preach the gospel to the poor, heal the broken hearted, proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.
SUJ Ministries has a vision to develop a Christian community for street children, orphans, and other children living in desperate poverty in Uganda. We believe that God desires to raise up an army of children from the despair of city streets in every nation.
We believe they shall go forth proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. We believe they are God’s own special people, and they will proclaim the praises of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvelous light. For our God is a Father to the fatherless.
